Revving Up My Nutrition

I was very excited to start getting my infusions at home, but I want to share what was more exciting to me than that. I had planned on this being part of my previous post, but once I started typing about getting the infusion at home it kind of headed in a different direction. I didn't want it to be too long, and I also thought this exciting part of my day deserved a blog post of it's own.

Recently I have been thinking about revving up my nutrition a bit. Or a lot!! We are right in the middle of the holiday season and let's be honest, IT IS STRESSFUL!! Even though it is a joyful time of year we all have to admit that the holidays add stress to our lives. We are more busy than usual with events and shopping, and preparing for it all can be overwhelming. Then there is the food we eat. We are constantly surrounded by rich, sugary or spicy foods. For us with irritable bowel diseases, or even other diseases, this means trouble. Our bodies are saying PLEASE STOP! I laughed after Thanksgiving dinner and told Toby that all I kept saying in my mind to my colon was, "please forgive me for what I have done to you". 😂

I say all of that to tell you about how I have revved up my nutrition and what it has done for me. I was kind of having some issues with my UC and I knew I HAD to stay on top of this, esp this time of year. Here is what I did.....

One of the foods I get from Sunrider is NuPlus. I have heard that Dr Chen, the founder of Sunrider, says if you only eat one thing from Sunrider it needs to be NuPlus. So, I decided to eat more. I had added about one a day to what I already did. Sunday morning I had my usual vitashake. Then, that night I drank 2 nuplus drinks. Monday I had my usual vitashake plus 4 nuplus drinks. Tuesday, I had my vitashake for breakfast then a nuplus while I was getting my infusion.

Normally when I get these infusions I feel fine until that evening. By around 5-7PM I am exhausted. I am freezing and aching like when you have the flu. Yesterday was a lot different though. I was tired afterwards and into the evening, but I didn't have the aching and I wasn't freezing. THIS IS HUGE!!

I started eating more nuplus to build up my good nutrition as I go through the holidays and to help minimize or alliviate some of the problems I am having caused by UC. The fact that my side effects were minimal was the icing on the cake and totally worth sharing!!!

So, here is what is so good about Nuplus and why it was my choice for building up my nutrition..........
